New Runaways

So I caught some of the new runaways comics, and I think they're doing a pretty good job. The writers have captured a lot of the charm of the old characters, and the art is stylish and nice.

I particularly enjoyed the short cameo that Adora the Enchantress had in a minor character's flashback- in four panels they managed to weave a more interesting and compelling take on her than I've seen in any comic she's featured in.

I have yet to touch Runaways. I was gonna read the first run before watching Runaways on Hulu, then catch up to the new comic run.

I imagine the comic is amazing, though, folks were clamoring over it for years.

One of my favorite characters from the old run was Xavin. In the new run, it's pretty balanced, but leaning towards Victor or Nico. (Everyone's outfits in the new one are so good.)

Karolina always looked cool to me (pretty colors!), plus A-Force introduced me to Nico.

Yeah, not all the characters were around and about in other comics. It's a shame what they did to Victor outside of the Runaways and I can see the writer trying to put the character back to where he's supposed to be.
